Analysis of Audiometric Measurement in Pre-Elderly Patients with Diabetes Mellitus Based on HbA1c and Duration of Diabetes Mellitus

Hearing loss is a complication of diabetes mellitus (DM). Elevated HbA1c and duration of diabetes have been reported to affect audiometric findings in DM patients. This study aims to analyze audiograms in pre-elderly DM patients based on HbA1c levels and duration of diabetes. This study are cross-sectional study in Makassar from November 2024 to April 2025. Subjects were patients with DM aged 45-59 years who met the study criteria. Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) was performed on each subject. Data on HbA1c and duration of diabetes were collected. IBM SPSS version 26.0 was used for this data analys

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Is an Important Tools Improve Visual Attention of Iskemik Stroke Patient

Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide, with post-stroke cognitive impairments such as reduced visual attention often hindering rehabilitation and recovery. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) has emerged as a promising non-invasive neuromodulation method to restore cognitive functions through stimulation of the Dorsolateral Prefrontal Cortex (DLPFC). This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of TMS in improving visual attention in patients with ischemic stroke. A double-blind randomized controlled trial with a pre-post test design and control group was

Enhancing Breast Milk Volume Through Moringa Soy Milk Consumption in Lactating Women

Exclusive breastfeeding is vital for infant development and maternal health, but inadequate milk volume remains a common challenge. Locally available foods such as Moringa oleifera leaves and soy milk possess galactagogue properties and may improve lactation outcomes. This quasi-experimental study with a pretest–posttest control group design was conducted at Malawili Health Center, Sorong Regency, Indonesia, from January to April 2025. A total of 52 breastfeeding mothers were recruited using purposive sampling and assigned to either the intervention group, which received 180 mL of moringa so

The Effect of 5-Hz Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation on the Left DLPFC on Heart Rate Variability in Ischemic Stroke Patients: A Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT)

Stroke remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, with autonomic dysfunction contributing substantially to adverse outcomes and impaired recovery. Heart rate variability (HRV) is a well-established marker of autonomic regulation, yet therapeutic strategies to modulate HRV in stroke patients remain limited. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) has emerged as a non-invasive neuromodulation technique with potential to improve cortical excitability and autonomic balance. This randomized controlled trial investigated the effect of 5 Hz rTMS applied to the left dors

Nutrient Deficiencies Behind Excess Weight: A Clinical Study of Obesity in Iraq

Obesity has emerged as a pressing public health issue worldwide, with its prevalence sharply increasing in developing nations such as Iraq. This study examines the role of nutrient deficiencies in the development and regulation of body weight among individuals in Iraq. Nutrient imbalances, particularly in essential vitamins and minerals, have been linked to the onset of obesity and related metabolic disorders. Through a comprehensive clinical assessment, this research explores the impact of these deficiencies on weight regulation and highlights the association between inadequate nutrient intak
