Effect of microRNA⁃212 regulation on the development of hydronephrosis fibrosis through TGF⁃beta1/Smads signal way

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is an important health concern that is expected to be the fifth most widespread cause of death worldwide by 2040. The presence of chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, ischemia, etc., stimulates the development and progression of CKD. Tubulointerstitial fibrosis is a common pathomechanism of renal dysfunction, irrespective of the primary origin of renal injury. With time, fibrosis leads to end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Many studies have demonstrated that microRNAs (miRNAs, miRs) are involved in the onset and development of fibrosis and CKD. miRNAs are vital

Evaluation of prognostic indicators for COVID⁃19 patients with diabetes

To retrospectively explore the prognostic indicators of COVID-19 patients with diabetes. The clinical data of COVID-19 patients with diabetes admitted to Huoshenshan Hospital in Wuhan from February 2020 to April 2020 was collected. Patients were divided into survival group and death group according to their outcomes. The differences of various indexes between the two groups were compared and the prognostic factors were screened by multivariate logistic regression analysis. The receiver operation characteristic(ROC) curve was used to evaluate the prognostic value of these factors. Of the 80

Factors related to viral clearance time in patients with critical COVID‑19

To evaluate the related factors to virus clearance time in patients with critical COVID-19. A total of 63 patients with critical COVID-19 who had viral clearance were enrolled from Feb 1 to Mar 20, 2020, in Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University. Univariate analyses were used to compare the related factors between groups with different viral clearance time(≤30 days viral clearance group versus >30 days viral clearance group). COX regression analysis was also used to evaluate the factors related to virus clearance time. A total of 63 critical patients with COVID-19 who had viral clearance

A single center experience of anesthetic management for lung transplantation

To summarize anesthetic management experience during lung transplantation, and to explore the influence of anesthetic management on the outcome of lung transplantation. The clinical data of 19 patients received lung transplantation in Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University from December 2016 to December 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. A total of 19 patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists(ASA)physical status Ⅳ-Ⅴ underwent lung transplantation, and color Doppler echocardiography showed pulmonary artery systolic pressure >70 mmHg in 6 cases, 50-70 mmHg in 5 cases and 30-50

Effect of serum LDH and CK levels on condition and prognosis of COVID-19 patients

To explore the factors affecting the condition and prognosis of COVID-19. The clinical data of 228 patients with COVID-19 diagnosed in Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University from January 15 to March 1, 2020 were collected. The relationship between the levels of serum lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)/creatine kinase(CK) and the condition/prognosis of these patients were retrospectively analyzed. The levels of serum LDH/CK in male patients with COVID-19 were significantly higher than those in female patients, and increased with age; more importantly, the levels of serum LDH and CK in severe group were
