Outcomes of endoscopic submucosal dissection applicated in the treatment of early colorectal cancer and precancerous lesions

Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is a reliable method that can replace surgery in the treatment of early colorectal cancer under certain conditions. The aim of the study was to analyze factors influencing the ESD procedure in early colorectal cancer, with the intention of improving its effectiveness. We conducted a multicenter, retrospective cohort study on 214 patients who underwent ESD procedures for early colorectal cancer from January 2016 to October 2023. En bloc resection was achieved in 197 (92.1%) of ESD procedures, R0 resection in 149 (69.6%), and curative resection in 54 (40

Clinical analysis of 7 cases of acute pancreatitis in pregnancy

During pregnancy and in the post-partum period, several diseases may arise or become exacerbated. Acute pancreatitis is an inflammatory disease with an increasing incidence in Western countries. The incidence of acute pancreatitis during pregnancy is not different with respect to the general population, but this incidence increases in the first 2 years after delivery. Biliary sludge and stones are the most frequent aetiologies, followed by hypertriglyceridemia. Taking care of the mother and foetus through a potentially severe disease requires a team consisting of an obstetrician, a gastroen

Effect of microRNA⁃212 regulation on the development of hydronephrosis fibrosis through TGF⁃beta1/Smads signal way

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is an important health concern that is expected to be the fifth most widespread cause of death worldwide by 2040. The presence of chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, ischemia, etc., stimulates the development and progression of CKD. Tubulointerstitial fibrosis is a common pathomechanism of renal dysfunction, irrespective of the primary origin of renal injury. With time, fibrosis leads to end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Many studies have demonstrated that microRNAs (miRNAs, miRs) are involved in the onset and development of fibrosis and CKD. miRNAs are vital

Evaluation of prognostic indicators for COVID⁃19 patients with diabetes

To retrospectively explore the prognostic indicators of COVID-19 patients with diabetes. The clinical data of COVID-19 patients with diabetes admitted to Huoshenshan Hospital in Wuhan from February 2020 to April 2020 was collected. Patients were divided into survival group and death group according to their outcomes. The differences of various indexes between the two groups were compared and the prognostic factors were screened by multivariate logistic regression analysis. The receiver operation characteristic(ROC) curve was used to evaluate the prognostic value of these factors. Of the 80

Factors related to viral clearance time in patients with critical COVID‑19

To evaluate the related factors to virus clearance time in patients with critical COVID-19. A total of 63 patients with critical COVID-19 who had viral clearance were enrolled from Feb 1 to Mar 20, 2020, in Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University. Univariate analyses were used to compare the related factors between groups with different viral clearance time(≤30 days viral clearance group versus >30 days viral clearance group). COX regression analysis was also used to evaluate the factors related to virus clearance time. A total of 63 critical patients with COVID-19 who had viral clearance
